$125,000 Being Paid Blackfeet On Reservation

Beginning today, approximately $125,000 is being paid members of the Blackfeet Tribe as grazing fees. Rental covers a one-year period beginning May 1.

This sum is being paid those residing in Browning and various reservation communities.

The funds are being paid out at the Indian Agency.

The total sum, which covers fee considerations with Blackfeet living both on and off the reservation is approximately $226,000.

Out of this is deducted a sum representing advance loans.

Probably 25 per cent of the fees are being paid Blackfeet living off the reservation, according to Agency informants.
