Doc Hunt, 23, of 438½ West Fifth street, was still in a "serious" condition at the St. Elizabeth hospital Monday following the near fatal shooting by his wife, Della, as a climax to a family quarrel Saturday night in their home.
He was shot in the right abdomen, with the bullet emerging from his back and once in his left shoulder with the bullet piercing the chest and emerging from the front. His wife, 24, is being held in the city jail pending the outcome of Hunt's condition.
Damage L. Bostic, 49, of 438 West Fifth street, present at the shooting was hit by a bullet in the right leg and was treated at the hospital and released.
Mrs. Hunt was taken into custody by Det. Lucious Gleaton, who was in the vicinity of the shooting. She was armed with a .38 caliber revolver which was confiscated by Gleaton.
