Banker Noel Sued by J. C. Cantrill.

John C. Noel, president of the Farmers' Bank of Frankfort, has been sued for $50,000 damages by Congressman J. Campbell Cantrill. Noel made a statement in his deposition in the case of James Darnell against Cantrill that he bet given to Cantrill $1,500 during the special session of the Legislature and that Cantrill had changed his position on the location of the Capitol site. Cantrill says it is untrue and sues for damages. The suit is welcomed by the defendant, as it will give an opportunity to test the whole matter in the court.
