HORRORS!
HORNELL, N. Y., Jan. 30.-
Mayor Stephen Hollands today refused to accede to demands made by the Hornell Ministerial Association and others that a performance scheduled for to-night in a theatre here be prohibited. Advertisements of the performance promised that all of the clothing worn by the living model would be sold at public auction and would be removed as fast as the bidders bought. The mayor ruled that he had no power to interfere unless the show was obscene. He ordered chief of police Bailey to attend the performance and to stop it if it exceeded the bounds of decency.
