Dog Accident.—The Ludlow Voice states that on Saturday the 7th inst. a dog which was in Hammond's store sprang through one of the large panes in the front window, bounded into the street. A horse belonging to Mr. E. J. Whitcomb, that was standing in front of the store, took fright, broke halter, dashed across the street, jumped over a load of wood, and hitched himself by the breeching of the harness upon one of the stakes. The horse that was attached to the load of wood began to run as fast as he could under the circumstances; the horse that was attached to the stake had by this time destroyed the sleigh, and was struggling to be free, but by the timely approach of several men, both horses were soon quieted and no further damage was done. The damage to the dog is not stated.
