26 Mos. Overseas
Staff Sergeant Richard W. Session, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gus Session, 3901 Fifth Ave. So., and husband of Mrs. Gladys Session, 3859 Snelling Ave., Minneapolis, saw his daughter Richelle Marie for the first time Wednesday morning, when he arrived in Minneapolis after a two year and eight month absence spent in the U. S. Army.
His daughter will observe her second birthday next Sunday, August 13.
Sgt. Session was inducted in January, 1942, and after spending about six months in training was shipped overseas without a furlough or leave of any kind. He called relatives in Minneapolis early this week from Ft. Sheridan, Ill., which was the first direct word they had of his arrival in this country from Italy where he has been stationed for sometime.
Two other Session brothers are serving overseas. Corporal Donald is in Sardinia and Corporal Raymond is in France.
