Full Text

LONDON, May 10.

Extract of a Letter from Paris, dated April 27.

"The pragmatic sanction of the King of Spain against the Jesuits in his States, is publickly sold here by the hawkers in French and Spanish."

In 1598 these fathers were banished from France, for being concerned in the assassination of King Henry the Fourth. They were driven from England by Queen Elizabeth in 1602; from the republic of Venice 1705; from Poland in 1607; from Bohemia, Sileia, Moravia, and Hungary, 1719, where however they were again re-established. They were expelled from Portugal and France, and now just banished for ever from the monarchy of Spain.

We hear that French louis d'ors never were so plenty at Newmarket as at present, to the agreeable surprize of all the Turf gentlemen.

It is said Bay Malton will run no more, but be allow'd to finish his days at ease, as he has never yet been beaten.
