By accounts from Jamaica we are informed that the inhabitants of Kingston have, after 30 years attention to it, completed an Herculean labour, and brought Hope River from the mountains to pass through the town of Kingston, which is now, to the unspeakable joy of every inhabitant, incomparably well watered, and the place rendered more healthy than at any time since it was constructed. The wild negroes, who had threatened to be very troublesome, are at length satisfied and returned to a state of order and tranquility.
