FROM PRISON

Kate A. Judd was released today, ostensibly from prison, but in reality from the House of Correction, where all the women prisoners given jail and prison sentences are detained.

She was given a 25-year sentence in the spring of 1893 for burning the palatial residence of John Weaver at Newport, who was then proprietor of the Ocean House.

For good behavior she was credited with 1285 days and that time being deducted from her sentence, entitled her to her liberty this morning.
