The gale of yesterday unroofed the large engine house at Whitehall, and completely demolished the building, damaging more or less four engines. The roof of the large woodshed belonging to the Renselaer and Saratoga Railroad, was also blown off, and several houses becoming suddenly "public spirited," paved the streets with their roofs. The Presbyterian church at Lake George, was blown down, and a steamer seriously damaged, her upper deck being blown away by the gale.
