Full Text

Intelligence Extraordinary from Edinburgh

On Saturday the 28th of October, being the anniversary of the birth of that illustrious though suffering patriot, John Wilkes, Esq; several respectable citizens of this metropolis dined together, in solemnization of an event so important to the liberties of Britain. It is with pleasure we are informed that so far from the whole people of Scotland being the enemies of that Gentleman (as has been often asserted, probably on account of some invectives against that country, which some ascribe to his pen) the judicious of the northern capital are remarkable for their attachment to his cause, and their support of it upon all occasions.
