LOOKING FOR THAT INSPECTOR, Sumter Very Far Behind in Rural Mail Delivery. The several hundred farmers of Sumter county who expected to be benefited by the establishment of four rural mail routes leading out from Americus are probably wondering what on earth has become of that special inspector who was supposed to come here and formally install the service. Postmaster Smith mapped out the four routes desired several months ago, and it was said that the inspector was to come to Americus at once and order the service started, but nothing has been heard of him. Other communities have the rural mail service but Sumter is still going it in the good old ante-bellum way.
