Stepping up the pace in advertising as an attraction for Colored tourists, the Nassau Development Board invited "Our World" magazine to Nassau to do a five page spread in pictures and story for its September travel issue. A young marine on leave and his bride, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ellis, were selected by this popular magazine to take the trip to Nassau and serve as subjects for the story. The trip they are enjoying will serve them as a delayed honeymoon. C. F. Sleet of Our World staff of photographers is doing the camera work. Working along with the Nassau Development Board in this promotion program are Charles C. North, manager of North's Travel Bureau and Bert Jackson manager of the New York office of Hill's Travel Inc. Further announcement from the Development Board reveals that during the month of August representatives from the 16 most popular Negro newspapers and magazines will be invited to Nassau as its guests for a seven-day cruise and a two-day stay in Nassau. The Miami Times has been selected as one of the publications to send representatives.
