A world representative of Lutheranism who was "forever forbidden to enter Czechoslovakia" when the Red government in 1949 closed his headquarters will be in Port Clinton this week-end to provide unusual and interesting New Year's services at St. Paul's Slovak Lutheran church.

He is Dr. J. Igor Bella, presently serving as professor of Old Testament at Hamma Divinity School, Springfield, and widely known throughout the Synod as a former president. He recently returned as representative of the Lutheran World Federation. Reds closed his headquarters at Bratislava, seat for distribution of Lutheran aid among Slovak congregations, but the work was continued from Geneva, Switzerland, where Dr. Bella for six years directed aid in a half dozen European countries.
