Thieves Break Into Senecaville Hardware

A total of $30 in silver, merchandise valued at more than $100 and five endorsed checks were stolen sometime Saturday night when thieves broke into the Ensel Davis hardware at Senecaville.

Officials said the burglars gained entrance to the store by breaking out a door panel on the north side of the building.

Included in the loot were a .22 calibre Iver Johnson pistol, three men's wrist watches, a number of .22 shells, two hunting knives, a number of pocket knives and a red and black corduroy hunting cap.
