George W. Ledford was a visitor from Fuller Springs last Friday.

W. J. Ennis, Joseph Kellogg and C. W. Chowning of Ennis spent several days among friends and acquaintances in the county seat.

F. W. Allen, in company with Bert Trerise, were visitors from Sheridan Sunday.

Joseph Smith II. spent Friday, Saturday and Sunday among friends and acquaintances in the enterprising valley towns of Sheridan and Twin Bridges.

Amos Story and J. W. Kenedy and wife were visitors to Virginia from Cameron this week.

Messrs. Frank and Charles Metzel of Fuller Springs were among those who visited the picturesque old town of Virginia the early part of the week.

R. T. Cook is recovering from a severe attack of la grippe, which has kept him confined to his room for some time past.

Pat Lane of Three Forks was in the city on legal business the beginning of the week.

W. A. Maloney of Divide was a visitor to the city Friday.

Mr. Nixon and wife departed for Republic, Wash., where they will locate.

The Conrey placer is under the supervision of Mr. Dickinson of Louisville, Ky., who assumed the management March 1.

Dr. Brooke of this city made a professional visit to the poor farm last Sunday. Mr. White, an inmate of the farm, had a foot amputated, as a result of an injury received by that member several years previous. The old gentleman is past 78 years of age and is doing nicely after the operation.

C. H. Macdonald of Anaconda was visiting among the mining interests in Virginia and vicinity the first of the week. He departed Tuesday morning.
