CATTLE MEN VS. THE SHEEP MEN

FT. COLLINS, Col., Nov. 20.—There is war between the cattle men and the sheep men of the western plains. Secretly they nurse their enmity and not infrequently it breaks out into lawlessness and violence. Only a few weeks ago some cow boys in Logan county, Col., attacked one of the sheep camps of the Warren Live Stock Company, beating one of the herders unmercifully and killing, it is alleged, some 200 head of sheep. Four of the offenders were arrested and are now under bonds for their appearance at the next term of district court for trial.
