The Knights of Labor, district 115 of Washington territory, have organized for practical co-operation. This company will be known as the Northwestern Manufacturing and Trading Company. The object of the association is to engage in the manufacture of all articles manufactured from wood, iron, steel, textile fabrics, glass and clay; and also in building, agriculture, fishing and mining, and to buy and sell and hold real estate, and all kinds of chattels and merchandise; to acquire, own, hold, sell or convey franchises and privileges; also the equipping of ships, steamboats, railroads, canals, telegraph lines, telephones, saw mills, tramways, flouring mills, and factories of every description and all things necessary to the building, running, equipping and management thereof.
The capital stock of the incorporation is fixed at $1,000,000, divided into 20,000 shares of the par value of $50 per share. On sales of stock a cash payment of $5 will be required, and monthly installments of $1 until said stock is paid in full. Dividends may be applied on the stock assessments. Each stockholder is entitled to but one vote.
The principal place of business will be at Tacoma, Washington territory.
