When the peaceful citizens of Philadelphia go daft on anything they usually go the full length, says a local exchange, as is instanced in the history of the festive trolley party. The man who first proposed this recreation gave all Philadelphia trolleyosis, with the result that up to October about seven hundred thousand persons have taken part in trolley parties, paying to the four traction companies over seventy thousand dollars for the fun.
