Health in Michigan.

Reports to the State Board of Health, Lansing, by observers of diseases in different parts of the State, show causes of sickness during the week ending Nov. 11, 1882:

For the week ending Nov. 11, 1882, the reports indicate that puerperal fever, bronchitis, tonsillitis, cholera morbus, membranous croup, dysentery, and rheumatism increased, and that erysipelas, typhoid fever and typho-malarial fever decreased in area of prevalence.

At the State Capitol the prevailing winds, during the week ending Nov. 11th, were southeast and south; and, in comparison with the averages for the preceding week, the temperature was higher, the absolute and relative humidity greater, and the day and night ozone more.

Reports from sanitary inspectors during the week ending Nov. 11, mention three cases of measles found among emigrants arriving at Detroit.

Including reports by regular observers and by others, diphtheria was reported present during the week ending Nov. 11th, and since, at 25 places, scarlet fever at 19 places, measles at 4 places. Small-pox was reported at Grand Rapids Nov. 11th.
