Duplicated by Russ

WASHINGTON, Nov. 29.-(AP)

Gen. Carl Spaatz says Russia apparently has succeeded in duplicating the B-29 Superfortress, which at the end of the war was the only aircraft in service capable of dropping an atom bomb.

Spaatz told the President's air policy committee the Soviet Union has tried to place orders recently for B-29 tires and landing gear.

"This leads us to believe that Russia has built B-29s," he said yesterday.

He added that the Russians did not get the parts they asked for.
