Mrs. Herbert Day spent Saturday afternoon shopping in Tallahassee. Her sister, Mrs. Stuart Bostick, of Quincy, returned with her and spent the weekend here.

Mrs. Fred Condo, who has been in the Frazier-Ellis hospital in Dothan for several weeks, returned home Monday afternoon.

Miss Louise Rooks and L. J. Herring visited Miss Rooks' sister, Miss Lillian Rooks, in Tallahassee Sunday night.

Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Wallace and daughter, Betty, of Quincy, spent Sunday here with Mrs. Wallace's brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Rooks.

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Carrera and daughter, Betty Jo, and Mrs. Carrera's mother, Mrs. J. M. Smith, spent Saturday afternoon with relatives in Tallahassee.

Mr. and Mrs. C. P. Gleaton spent Friday and Saturday in Jacksonville, where Mr. Gleaton transacted business.

L. J. Herring and George Freeman visited in Quincy Monday night.

Mr. and Mrs. C. P. Gleaton and daughter, Nancy, spent Sunday visiting in Quincy.

Miss Mary Frances Trailer, who has been employed at the Gadsden County State Bank for several months, has accepted a position at the state hospital.

Miss Ovella King spent the weekend with her sister in Chipley.

Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Hinson visited friends in Blountstown Sunday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Maxwell spent Sunday in Quincy with relatives.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Mathis, of Swainsboro, Ga., spent part of last week here as guests of Mr. and Mrs. C. S. Dunn.

Miss Loraine Johnson spent the weekend with relatives in Columbus, Ga.

Frank Hartsfield, member of the school faculty, spent the weekend with his mother in Tallahassee.

Mr. and Mrs. Leo Daffin and son, Carl, accompanied by Mrs. Ralph Potts, of Tallahassee, spent the weekend in Atlanta.

Miss Dorothy Johns, a student at a beauty culture college in Jacksonville, spent the weekend here with her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Barnes Potter.

C. J. Rooks, who has been confined to the state hospital for several weeks by illness, was reported improving this week.

Lex Dowling and Miss Gerry Dowling, of Dothan, visited John David Shanks here Sunday. They spent Sunday afternoon in Tallahassee.

Mrs. E. H. Joyner and children, Eugenia and Tommy, and Mrs. B. E. Flowers, all of Reynolds, Ga., spent the weekend here with Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Blount. Mrs. Blount and daughter, Sara, returned with them to spend a week in Reynolds.

Mr. and Mrs. C. S. Dunn spent Sunday with relatives in Ft. Gaines, Ga. and Abbeville, Ala.

Monroe Freeman left last week for St. Marys, Ga., where he is employed by a construction company.

Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Cook and family and Miss Myrtle Bateman spent Sunday afternoon in Altha and Marianna.

Mr. and Mrs. Jack Yelldell, of Marianna, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. O. Bell Sunday. Mrs. Yelldell is the former Miss Chrissie Mae Herbert, and was a member of the school faculty here for two years.

Mrs. Orin Ballou, Mrs. W. O. Bell, Miss Calista Hatcher, and Miss Elsie Shepard went to Tallahassee Tuesday night where they heard "Madame Butterfly" sung at the Woman's College Auditorium.

Bill Edwards was a business visitor in Jacksonville several days the first of the week.

Mrs. Bessie Sanders, Mrs. Clark Dones, and Miss Justine Sanders were business visitors in Quincy Monday morning.

Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Wilder, of Panama City, spent Sunday here with Mr. and Mrs. John R. Dickson and Mrs. Aubrey Dickson.

Miss Johnnie Ruth Parrish, student nurse at the state hospital, spent the weekend with her parents in Marianna.

Hayes Hill, of Starke, is spending several days here with his brother, Addis Hill.

Jackson County Sheriff Barclay Gause, of Marianna, was a business visitor here Friday.

Hinton Nobles, of Gainesville, spent the weekend here with relatives.

Mrs. A. L. Johns is spending this week in Waycross, Ga., with her daughter, Mrs. T. R. Whigham.

Mrs. Harmon Alday is confined to her home this week because of illness.

Glen F. Wright has returned after spending two weeks in Tampa, where he was in charge of the State Hospital exhibit at the State Fair.

Mac Gilchrist, who has been in business school in Jacksonville for several months, stopped here Tuesday night for a visit with his mother, Mrs. J. M. Gilchrist, before going to Montgomery, where he has accepted a position with the railroad.
