The trio of Mayors head municipal governments in communities in which coal mining is an important factor on the local economy.
Mayor Thomas A. Burke of Cleveland who is chairman of the statewide campaign committee supporting DiSalle's candidacy recalled that Mayor DiSalle, past president of the Ohio Association of Municipalities, developed widespread friendships with Ohio Mayors during the period he headed this group which comprises representatives of municipalities irrespective of political faith.
