The city board of equalization finished its labors yesterday when the first schedule of assessment was completed. The board will take a rest until June 9, when a meeting will be held to consider complaints. When these are adjusted and the roll approved, the levy will be made and the roll placed in the hands of a collector. This will not likely be before August.
The board has been in session each day since May 17. The assessment is almost the same as last year with the exception that every bicycle in the city has been assessed in amounts ranging from $12 to $100.
