Yesterday arrived in town, from Ireland, Messrs. Cox and THOMPSON, where they were invited to inspect the building a Bridge across the river Foyle, at Londonderry. These artists were received in that city with every possible mark of joy, and witnessed the most polite treatment during their residence there. They have purchased a ship which they are now loading at Sheepscut with timber--with which to carry into execution the design mentioned in the following paragraph.

LONDONDERRY (Irel.) March 31.

The Bridge. Messrs. Cox & Thompson having made every necessary examination concerning the depth and bed of the river between the quays where the ferry-boats ply, and having given it as their decided opinion, that a Wooden Bridge can be erected there.
