18 U. S. ARMY PLANES ON BORDER GIVEN ORDERS SHOOT DOWN INTRUDERS

NACO, April 8, (AP)—American Army fliers with eighteen Army planes at Fort Huachuca, Arizona, with orders to the patrol to shoot down the Mexican plane at ventures, North of the International Line. This is the American answer to the continued dropping of bombs on Arizona soil, Saturday, after having been repeatedly warned not to do so. The planes personnel was assembled at Fort Huachuca yesterday, and the sudden end of the airplane bombing attacks which have harassed the loyal garrison at Naco across the line, is expected as a result.

The opening of the sixth week of insurrection found the rebels defensive pinned more steadily into the three Northwestern States of Sonora, Chihuahua and Sinaloa. In five weeks the rebels have been driven out of six other states and suffered serious reverses in the major three days battle around Jimenez, Lareforma and Liole, the fighting lasting over a week. The chief federal plans are to prevent a union of the rebel forces at Sinaloa and Chihuahua with the insurgents of Sonora. There are signs of disintegration of the rebels along the border and at Ojinaga the rebels garrison revolted and took over the town in the name of the government, killing the insurgent commanders.
