Extract of a letter received at Charleston
per the Isabella, dated London, March
15, 1803.
"The Port Mary, bound for Hull,
and arrived at Cowes, has on board two
gentleman, and a negro boy and girl,
which they picked up soon after leaving
Charleston, in a boat in which they were
bound from Charleston to the southward,
and driven out to sea. As their friends
must no doubt have given them up for
lost, it would be well to make their safety known to them. The names of th.
gentlemen I indistinctly heard; but I am
pretty sure one was Robert Scott."
