A few nights ago as Tod Robinson, who represents the war interests of the Fall Creek Mining Company, was riding along Culbertson grade, his mule stopped, shied and refused to go ahead. Robinson peered through the darkness, and discovered an object in the middle of the road. Supposing it to be a grizzly bear, he raised his rifle, with which he was armed, and fired two or three shots. At the last report a human cry was heard. Going up to the object at which he had shot, Robinson found Patrick Flynn, an employee of the Fall Creek Water Company, lying in the dust. One of the balls from the rifle had taken effect in the calf of one of his legs. The shooter had the wounded man taken to Emigrant Gap immediately, and gave orders that he be well taken care of.--[Nevada Transcript.
