In the address of Col. Webb, of the New-York Courier & Enquirer, to the Public, Mr. Kendall, the Fourth Auditor, was "supposed" to be the writer of the Veto Message. The Colonel has been behind the curtain, and ought to know who moves the wires: and he would not have supposed such a thing, if he had not good reason to believe it. The address of the Editor of the Courier & Enquirer, moreover, was copied into the Telegraph, which also is conducted by "one who knows," and if the supposition were at all unwarranted by facts within his knowledge, would probably have been contradicted. The main part of the Veto message is just such a document, besides as Mr. Amos Kendall, skilled in all "the arts of able Editors," would have prepared for the meridian of Kentucky, on the eve of an election. Mr. Kendall is known to be deeply engaged in the mystery and labor of electioneering. He is deeply interested, personally, in the event of the coming Presidential Election. Recollecting these things, we confess we were much struck with the following paragraph, when it yesterday met our eye:

From the Louisville Journal

"We learn, from the Observer, that a hand-bill was recently published at Lexington, Ky., portions of which were taken verbatim from the Veto message, a document that did not arrive until several days afterwards! Mysterious as this fact may at first appear, it still admits of an explanation. The Observer explains it thus: The extracts from the Veto were sent on in advance, in order to prepare, in some measure, the minds of the supporters of Jackson for his act of high-minded tyranny."

Upon this curious disclosure we will make no comment, until we have more direct proof. We will, however, make it the occasion of one or two questions, which any one may answer that chooses.

1. Who is the regular correspondent of the Kentucky Jackson papers?
2. Who but the writer of the Message could have furnished extracts from it before it was sent to Congress?
3. Who wrote the Message?
4. Are the people of the United States willing to have Amos Kendall to rule over them in the name of Andrew Jackson?
