EXPOSITION NOTES.

GOVERNMENT BUILDING SUPERINTENDENT.

THE WORK PROGRESSING.

ATLANTA, Ga., Nov. 8.—A dispatch from Washington announces that A. C. Bruce of this city has been appointed supervising architect of the government building at the exposition. He is a member of a prominent firm, Bruce & Morgan, and one of those who submitted plans for the exposition buildings.

The Business Men's league of Charleston will make exhibits at the Cotton States and International exposition. Advices are also received that the city of Chicago will have an exhibit. The Herald of that place has a special exposition edition, December 29, and directors of the exposition are invited to go to Chicago to meet the World's fair board for conference, with a view to extend the work for the exposition in the northwest.

Special articles on the exposition are announced by Revue Du Commerce, Paris; Review of Reviews, London and New York, by Clark Howell; Harper's Weekly, New York; and Frank Leslie's', New York.
