AT CHURCH HOME
HERE ON SUNDAY

Annual Pilgrimage To Home For Feebleminded Will Take Place September 15—Patriotic Address.

The annual pilgrimage of Lutherans from twenty-two congregations in the Missouri and Wisconsin synods will take place on next Sunday, September 15. The meeting will take place at the Home for Feebleminded and will attract a large number of people, especially from Milwaukee. The festival is an unusual one and has been kept up since the starting of the Home in Watertown. The meeting will be of a patriotic nature and a patriotic address will be delivered by Rev. H. W. Meyer, of Wilmette, Ill. The statistical report of the Home will be made by the Rev. Henry C. Jaus, superintendent of the Home. The report will show that the work has been carried out at the Home most successfully.

The Rev. F. Weerts of West Allis, superintendent of the Home for Homeless Children in Milwaukee will deliver an address in the afternoon dealing with the work he is doing for the homeless child.

Refreshments, including ice cream and cake will be served on the grounds and the public is invited to be present and participate in the program and visit the institution.

The Lutherans are planning to raise $400,000 which will be used in supporting chaplains, camp pastors and the like in the army and in camps. The Soldiers and Sailors Bulletin, a monthly magazine, is being sent to every Lutheran soldier. Every two weeks a sermon is sent to every Lutheran boy in France. Testaments and prayer books are sent to them.

A committee of four members from each of the four local congregations has been selected and will have charge of the Sunday affair. Plans are under way for a big day.
