CV Rails' to Get $3,000 Back Pay
ST. ALBANS, Vt.—BRTers on Central Vermont Railway will receive approximately $3,000 in back pay as the result of an air hose agreement recently won.
Under the agreement, when road crews are required to couple or uncouple air and steam hose at points where car inspectors are located, one hour at straight time rate will be paid each member of the crew, regardless of which member or members perform the service. This will be in addition to compensation for the trip. Back pay starts with Aug. 1, 1951. H. J. Callaghan is general chairman on the property.
