As the Seraskier of Bender, Ghazi Ali Bashaw, is the same who lost one of the Battles which Thamas Kouli Kan gain'd over the Ottoman Troops, the People murmur greatly at his having been intrusted with the Siege of Oczakow. instead of Count Bonneval, who was design'd at First for that Undertaking. The Glory which that General propos'd to gain by it, excited the Jealousy of the Seraskier of Bender, who employ'd all his Friends at the Porte, in order to have the sole Direction of that Siege. The Courier that arriv'd here the 20th has been sent to the Grand Vizir to-day.
