Brother Burr:—I have just returned from Fox River Q. M., which was held with Koon Creek church. It was on the whole a good and interesting time. The reports from the several churches showed that it was not a time of general revival. The churches being generally small, and scattered over considerable territory, at the best can have but little preaching. I think, however, each church has preaching on the Sabbath once in four weeks. The meeting closed Sabbath evening with a prospect of a good revival of religion. Eld. Isaac Eaton is pastor of the church in that place. Brother Eaton was favored with a good revival in his congregation last spring. This Q. M. has lately been divided, and a new one set off, to be known by the name of Rock River Q. M. My soul has been made to rejoice in the course of the past year in witnessing the happy conversion of a good number of my fellow men. My mind often reverts to gone by days and happy seasons which I have enjoyed with my dear brethren in western N. Y. At times I almost imagine myself back in their society, but on the second thought, I remember that lakes, prairies, and wide extended fields, are interspersed between us. Dear brethren, as ever, I ask an interest in your prayers that I may be humble and holy, and the humble instrument of leading undying souls to the Savior of sinners.
