COMING MEET
WILL BE BIG
At present it is the general impression that the annual meeting of the Panhandle Press Association in Amarillo will be the largest ever held by the association. Information is to the effect that a very high percentage of the eligibles will be present in the gathering.
Committees have been actively engaged in sending out the high points of the program, and it is stated by them in charge that the entertainment features of this occasion could not be better than they are this year.
The meeting the association will hold in the banquet room of the Amarillo Hotel. This arrangement was made through the courtesy of Ernest Thompson.
It is also announced that Ira D. Soggs has requested the pleasure of entertaining the press people as his guests to all performances during the convention at the three theaters for which he is the manager. Congressman Martin it Jones has provided for a banquet to the visitors. The Mistletree Cream-Ice are insisting that the visitors visit their plants in a tour of the Industrial district of this city for ice cream and buttermilk. Mr. Thompson has arranged a banquet for the members of the press. It is also announced that another banquet will be given by the Amarillo Board of City Development. That there will be other entertainment features, is stated by those in charge. There will be several musical numbers and speakers and the entire time will not only be entertaining but profitable in many ways according to those arranging the program.
