Event Details
By virtue of a new regulation, every planter in the French West-India Islands is obliged to set apart a particular number of acres for rearing cattle, poultry, and necessities of life. This will save nearly a million livres annually, previously sent to Ireland and British American colonies, addressing the cause of provisions shortages in wartime where natives have risked starving during sieges.
