The Sacramento papers say a locomotive is now being built in the machine shops of the Central Pacific Railroad at that place, which will be the largest in the world. The engine will have five pairs of driving wheels, and its weight will be 73 tons; weight of tender, over 25 tons; weight of engine and tender when fully equipped for the road, 105 tons. The length of engine and tender will be 65 feet 5 inches; driving wheel base 19 feet 7 inches; diameter of cylinder, 21 inches; stroke, 26 inches; water capacity of tender, 3,000 gallons.
