Five Cars Hit In One Accident

Sgt. Samuel F. McHone, of Cape Charles AFB, was fined $50 and costs and his driving permit was suspended for six months for reckless driving and was fined $100 and costs with a year's suspension of his driving license for driving while drunk in Cape Charles Monday. He was at the wheel of a car last Saturday evening that struck a taxi operated by Edward Wynder then collided with three other cars. Mrs. Wynder and two children were injured. Mr. Wynder was thrown from his car but was not hurt. Mrs. Katherine W. Costin, a passenger in the McHone car, suffered a broken arm. Pedestrian McHone is recovering from facial injuries.
