Two-Year-Old Girl Cause Of Extensive Search

ANCHORAGE, (AP) - Little 2-year-old Cheryl Pylant took a two-mile toddle along a woods trail between homesteads at Eagle River on the Glenn Highway Friday.

A hundred Civil Defense volunteers organized a search party. An additional 50 military searchers were called-to standby duty.

She was finally found nearly 4 hours later in a garden, chewing on some carrots. She was taken home to her overjoyed mother, Mrs. Carl Pylant.

Then, 15 minutes later, she wandered off again.

Found this time, she got a good spanking from mama.
