Extract of a letter from Woodbury, Gloucester County.

"Yesterday, 28th June, we finished drawing the lottery granted by our legislature, for the academy in this town. Among the fortunate adventurers is Mrs. Marmaduke Cooper, of this county, who is possessed of a ticket which drew 2000 dollars."

Mrs. Cooper has generously offered the ticket, with its prize, to the trustees of the institution, for the benefit of the Seminary. Such instances of benevolence ought to obtain other records than the tablet of memory.
