William A. (Billy) Bacon, popular young attorney of Durant, has made known his intention to leave this city and continue his practice of law in Jackson.
Mr. Bacon has been prominent in the bar of Holmes county for several years, as well as being active in political circles, having served as representative from this county in the Mississippi Legislature and as City Attorney for the City of Durant. He will also be missed in civic and social circles, where he has been very active.
Billy will leave Durant for Jackson about the first of January, and will enter business with W. E. Morse, one of the state's best known and liked attorneys. Mr. Morse serves Jackson as city attorney, a position which he has held for a number of years. His brother, H. M. Morse, is State Supervisor of the Oil and Gas Commission. They will maintain offices in the Standard Life Building. Mr. Bacon states that he will be in Durant quite often to attend to any local matters that may help his clients here.
His many friends regret very much to see his leave Durant but wish him every success in his new field of endeavor.
