BEAU NASH.

How ill my taper burns! 'twas who comes here? I think it is the weakness of my brain That shapes this pirate's apparition. It comes upon me: Art thou any thing; Art thou some thief, some demon, or some devil That goads me to be silly, and impeach.

A Virginia Beau.

Between two dogs, which hath the deepest mouth Between two horses, which doth bear him best Between two girls, which hath the merriest eye, I have, perhaps, some hallow'd spirit of judgment. But in your nice sharp quillets of the law Good faith, I am no wiser than a dunce

A Youthful Legislator.

My legs are two such riding rods, My arms such eel skins stuff't; my face so thin That in mine ear I durst not stick a rose, Let men hold say, look, where three farthings goes.

ALBERTO GUILLOTINO.

I do not know the man I should avoid So soon as that spare Cassius—He loves no plays As thou dost Antony; he hears no music: Seldom he smiles; and smiles in such a sort, As if he mock'd himself, and scorn'd his spirit That could be moved to smile at any thing. Such men as he be never at heart's ease, Wher they behold a greater than themselves, And therefore are they very dangerous.
