Full Text

It begins to look as if in a short time that much-neglected section of our city, Boyle Heights, would have an electric railway. In the brief canvass made to date the sum of $20,000 has been subscribed by property owners, and the representative of a northern electric railway company has announced the willingness of his people to push construction as soon as a route is determined upon. There seems little doubt about raising the remainder of the subscription to the construction fund. The committee in charge of the scheme should not rest until a well equipped electric line is in full operation from the city's center to at least the limits of the heights, and if practicable, to Whittier.
