Rome, Feb. 2.—King Humbert is to visit Naples to be present at the embarkation of the troops leaving for Abyssinia today. A great patriotic demonstration is being arranged to welcome him. There is absolutely no news from the seat of war. Gen. Heusche is confident that a vigorous, prompt offensive movement will shortly be made.
St. Petersburg, Feb. 2.—The refusal of the Italian government to allow M. Leontieff and his friends to land at Massowah, and the orders given to the Italian fleet to watch the ship carrying them, have excited interest here. M. Leontieff approached the Italian government on the pretext that he is an agent of the Red Cross Society. A director of that society here denies that M. Leontieff in any way represents his society.
