Washington, Dec. 15-Having selected Chicago as national headquarters and arranged tentatively the national organization, those in charge of the pre-convention campaign of President Coolidge today took up state organization, and designated Hoke Donithan of Marion to look after the Coolidge interests in Ohio.
The announcement with respect to Mr. Donithan was made by James B. Reynolds, former secretary of the Republican National committee and a member of what has come to be known among political leaders here as the "Coolidge board of strategy."
It said that William M. Butler of Massachusetts, who is in charge of the Coolidge campaign, had appointed Mr. Donithan as his representative in Ohio.
Mr. Donithan has had several conferences with Mr. Butler within the last few days and also talked with C. Bascom Slemp, secretary of President Coolidge. He was a close friend of President Harding and was a delegate to the 1920 national convention.

Secretary Slemp had a conference with James A. Harris, Republican national committeeman from Oklahoma; State Senator Fry of Oklahoma, and L. G. Disney, a member of the Oklahoma Republican state committee. In addition to the question of organizing the state, the appointment of the new additional judge to which Oklahoma is entitled was discussed and the judgeship matter was taken up by the three Oklahomans and by Senator Harreld with the president.
John B. Kealing, national committeeman from Indiana, had a conference with Mr. Slemp and a brief talk with the president, and will be a guest at luncheon tomorrow at the White House.
