"'Tis expected our Troops at the Great Carrying Place, will soon be attacked by a large Body of French and Indians, who were seen coming down on this Side of Oswego: An Express from General Stanwix has just brought this Account to Albany. The Troops from Boston are all encamped at Green-Bush, where 'tis generally thought they'll remain till it is Time to go into Winter Quarters, the Season being tho't too late for a second Attempt against Ticonderoga."
