OHIO'S DRY CREEK WELL NEARS SAND

With hole made to 5,800 feet, Ohio Oil company's No. 1 Montana Industrial in the Dry Creek field is today near completion, with the bit working a short distance above the sand in which the field's discovery well, a south offset, found a 2,000-barrel flow of high-gravity oil.

Coring is scheduled to start in a few days, just above the Dakota sand which at 5515 feet yielded a gusher flow in the discovery well.

The company started moving in material for another well. this week, the No. 1 Chapman, further north than any well now drilling in the field.

It has one other well drilling in the field. the No. 1 Souders, a quarter of a mile north of the No. 1 Montana Industrial. It is drilling at 2,600 feet.

The only other well drilling in the field, that of the Beartooth Oil company, to the east, is making hole at 2,000 feet.
