Entire Cabinet Resigns After Appointment of Director.
PORT AU PRINCE, Haiti, Aug. 14 (AP)—The entire cabinet resigned today in protest against the proposed appointment of Carl Colvin as director of the service technique to succeed Dr. George F. Freeman.
Mr. Colvin recently has been acting director.
The ministers said that they resigned because of the agreement with the United States called for the appointment of an agricultural engineer to the post and that Colvin does not qualify.
Protests by Haitians over the administration of the service technique—which is vocation school—were studied last winter by the Hoover investigating committee.
Students went on strike against the administration of Dr. Freeman last year and stoned his residence.
The Haitiens have long been restless of the American occupation which began in 1915.
