IN CHICAGO

Race artists Camilla Williams— Just back from Europe and Mahalia Jackson who's a veteran on TV-looked terrific on the Democratic Convention. Camilla has been hitting her stride this year since Vienna took to her so graciously.

Mahalia-well, she was just magnificent doing 'The Lord's Prayer.'. . . Democrats so fully used up all possible TV time that they left the networks very little breathing space to jump back to San Francisco moving correspondents and equipment.

Congressman Dawson of Chicago still orating the old time way. . . He may deliver the votes out he hasn't changed his pointers the old time Democratic ones-nor his manner of putting them across.
