-Catherine Blackerby has not been so well for a few days.
-Spencer Hubble has sold his load of mules to Enbanks & R. L. Hubble at $100.
-James Engleman is down from Madison county, Miss Mary Adams, of Hustonville, is visiting relatives here.
-G. P. Bright has arranged the beef club book in good order and left it at the store for parties to call in and settle up.
-Misses Mattie White and Maggie Swinebroad both gave entertainments Xmas week that were enjoyed by a host of friends. Mr. Lane and Miss Liza Spoonamore, of Buena Vista, visited friends here last week.
-Our little village is on a boom again. We are going to have a grist mill, a new store and there is talk of a new shop.
-Austin and Ed are going to commence work on their mill here about Wednesday day. They will make meal and chop grain for feed. Mr. Joe Jarvis is talking of putting up goods. He is from Garrard county and seems to be a nice young man and we wish him success, though the goods business at this place is not very flattering these hard times.
